Privacy notice

What is processed and why

• Web requests: our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as IP address, requested URL, time, device/browser information and security signals to deliver and protect the site.
• City searches: the text you enter is used to return matching places. A search appears in the URL and can remain in your browser history and hosting request records. Do not enter private information in the city search.
• Optional location: only after you choose “Use my location” and grant browser permission, coordinates are sent to our server to find a nearby listed city. The application does not retain the coordinates or create a location history. You can decline permission and type a city instead.
• Email: if you contact us, your address, message and attachments are used to answer and resolve the request. Email passes through Cloudflare Email Routing and the publisher’s Google mail service.

The purposes are service delivery, security and responding to a request. Optional location is based on your permission. Where UK law applies, necessary operation and security rely on legitimate interests; optional location relies on consent.

Cookies and consent

The application does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not use local storage for tracking. Cloudflare may use necessary security technology when protecting a request. We do not load third-party ad or analytics code before or after a visit.

Because optional tracking is off, there is no advertising consent banner to accept. If advertising is introduced later, the required consent or opt-out controls must be implemented before activation. Revoking browser location permission stops future location sharing.

Recipients, retention and international processing

Cloudflare delivers the site through its global network, and Google handles correspondence. Data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States and Brazil. These providers’ safeguards and contractual terms govern their processing. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.

We do not maintain user accounts or an application database of visitor profiles. Technical records are retained according to the hosting service’s security and operational settings. Correspondence is kept while the request is being handled and as needed for a documented legal or security reason; otherwise it is deleted when no longer needed. You can ask about or request deletion of a particular message.

Your choices and requests

Contact the publisher to request access, correction or deletion, withdraw optional consent, object to processing, or raise a grievance. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to restriction, portability, nomination or appeal. We may ask for proportionate information to verify a request. We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about visitors.

We do not knowingly collect children’s profiles. Children can read the public calculator without registering or providing personal details. A parent or guardian can contact us about information sent by a child.
